By working with us you become part of our team that is dedicated to continual improvement and achievement for both our student and staff community.Find out more about our school by visiting www.cvc.wa.edu.au or Schools OnlineThe RoleCanning Vale College (CVC) is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Student Support Officer to join their team.The role of Youth Support Officer is to assist with processes that ensure a responsive and effective student support service. Under direction, they will collaborate and conduct discussions with staff, families and the community to identify and manage a case load of students at risk in collaboration with other members of the Student Services team.As the Youth Support Officer, you will be expected to assist with the implementation of a range of school attendance strategies; attend and provide supporting information for team meetings, case conferences and other intervention processes; maintain information and record systems and develop strategies and student support programs. The successful applicant may also be required to participate in crisis management and response duties and provide support for special projects across the college as required.We are seeking an individual who is passionate and hardworking. This person will ideally possess the ability to build and maintain effective relationships quickly with all stakeholders. They should be energetic, motivated, and organised. The ability to work without supervision and work well within a team is desirable.
