Do you enjoy connecting customers with resources and services, while providing a welcoming, supportive environment?We are seeking a Library Technician to join our team at Riverstone on permanent, full-time basis, where you will:Be involved in delivering educational, fun and vibrant programs for childrenSustain services for local home delivery customers, including selecting based on personalised profilesCreate imaginative displays to promote our collectionsProvide expert, knowledgeable information services that use the full range of the Librarys online and print resources.We provide our team with access to quality training, opportunities for skills acquisition and a modern, innovative work environment that rewards excellence.EssentialQualifications and experienceLibrary Technician Diploma, Associate Diploma or equivalent, as recognised by the Australian Library and Information Association (ALIA)Previous library experienceDemonstrated strong commitment to a customer focused serviceExcellent communication skills, both oral and writtenDemonstrated ability to work within a team environment and independentlyWell-developed problem-solving skillsRelevant computer skillsCurrent class C drivers licenceWorking with Children Check number.DesirableFirst aid certificationAbility to speak a community language.Remuneration And BenefitsThe salary and conditions of employment are in accordance with Blacktown City Councils Enterprise Agreement.Entry level for this position starts at $1,362.15 per week35-hour working weekOpportunity to participate in Council''s flextime arrangementEmployee benefits such as leave entitlements (where applicable), 12% employer contribution payable to your nominated superannuation fund, Fitness Passport, gym membership discounts, and social clubs.This position has been identified as child related work, in accordance with the Child Protection (Working with Children) Regulation 2013.
