My client is a highly reputable Building Contractor who have recently been awarded a number of government projects nationwide and due to this, they are seeking a Senior Health & Safety Officer to join their team on a School Project in South Dublin.Duties:Supervise, support and guide all project safety advisors under your control.Promote safe working practices and manage the implementation of company HSE policy and procedures on the project.Carry out regular site HSE inspections and report findings to relevant personnel.Ensure that the project team has been provided with the relevant HSE documentation.Ensure that HSE project plans meet company standards.Ensure that HSE issues are discussed at project review meetings.Manage the maintenance of clear records to comply with company internal and external audit standards.Assist the site management team and sub-contractor owners with risk assessments and sub-contractor evaluations and documentation review when requestedDeliver HSE training where appropriate and as agreed with the Project ManagerSuggest, communicate and promote initiatives for incident prevention and forward to the Project Manager / HSE &Sustainability Manager for considerationSupport the Project Manager in incident investigationMonitor the adequacy and timely close out of incident reporting and HSE inspectionsLiaising with the relevant legal authorities (i.e. H.S.A, EPA etc.)Identify ideas for HSE improvement and issues submitting to the project manager and the HSE & Sustainability manager for considerationAttend relevant HSE meetings as requiredAssist managers with safety and environmental submissions, risk assessments and vendor evaluations when requestedCarry out other relevant duties as required from time to timeRequirements:Level 8 qualification in health and safety8 years successful postgraduate experience in project HSE managementSuccessful experience as a chartered Project Safety AdvisorThorough knowledge of OHSAS 45001Chartered membership of IOSHAbility to communicate at all levels within the organisationCapable of leading major accident investigations internally.If you are interested in applying for this role, click the link below or contact Mark Barrett on 0858666089 or mark@aaeuro.com #J-18808-Ljbffr
