Install roofing systems, guttering, downpipes, and rainwater goods on steel-framed buildings.Fit and connect stormwater plumbing systems in compliance with relevant codes.Ensure compliance with WHS regulations and conduct quality assurance checks.About the Role:Totalspan Cairns is seeking a qualified and experienced Roofing Plumber to join our growing team. Based in Cairns, this is a full-time role delivering roofing and stormwater solutions for prefabricated steel buildings across Cairns and the greater Far North Queensland region.This role involves the installation of roofing and plumbing systems, Metal roofing and wall cladding of steel buildings. The ideal candidate will be skilled in both roofing plumbing and capable of working safely and efficiently across diverse projects.Key Responsibilities:Install roofing systems, guttering, downpipes, flashings, and rainwater goods on steel-framed buildingsFit and connect stormwater plumbing systems in compliance with relevant codesInstall metal roofing on steel-framed structuresInstall insulation, cladding, and roofing materials to required standardsInterpret roofing layouts, construction drawings, and site plans accuratelyWork closely with builders, metal fabricators, and other trades to coordinate project deliveryOperate tools and machinery safely, including drills, grinders, welders, cutters, and elevated work platforms (EWPs)Conduct quality assurance checks and rectify any installation defectsEnsure ongoing compliance with WHS (Workplace Health and Safety) regulationsCommunicate clearly and professionally in English with supervisors, clients, and team membersRequirements:Trade qualifications in Roof Plumbing (Certificate III or equivalent)Proven experience in roof plumbing, including gutters, flashings, downpipes, and stormwater drainage systemsSkilled in reading and interpreting technical drawings and construction documentsCompetent in the use of tools of the trade: hand and power tools, safety equipment, and elevated work platformsPhysically fit, capable of working at heights, and handling materials safelyHigh attention to detail and quality workmanshipFluent in spoken and written EnglishStrong understanding of building safety regulations and industry best practicesLicences and Tickets (Required or Willing to Obtain):Valid Queensland Drivers LicenceConstruction White CardWorking at Heights certificationWhat We Offer:Competitive salary: $76,000 $90,000 per annum (depending on experience and qualifications)Full-time position based in Cairns, servicing projects across Far North QueenslandCompany vehicle, uniform, and tools of trade providedWide variety of work across steel building, roofing, and construction sectorsOngoing training and career development opportunitiesSupportive team environment with a strong safety culture and collaborative spiritStay Safe While Job HuntingWe vet all employer accounts and do our best to keep job ads safe, but scams can still occur.
