This is staffed by one Assistant Principal, two classroom teachers and three School Learning and Support Officers. Guildford Public School is an inclusive school with high expectations for all students and the Support Unit will be an integral part of our school community. Guildford Public School (enrolment 634 students with 91% non-English speaking background) offers a wide range of learning experiences and focuses on success for all students. Our 2024 School Report and School Plan can be found at www.guildford-p.schools.nsw.edu.auSpecific Selection CriteriaApproval to teach Special Education and/or demonstrated experience teaching students with Autism, mild to moderate intellectual disabilities, and behavioural and communication difficulties.Demonstrated skills and experience implementing quality, engaging and differentiated learning experiences to students with complex learning needs.Demonstrated skills and experience in using a range of classroom management and wellbeing approaches to cater for the communication, sensory, social and emotional needs of students in a positive and inclusive school environment.Highly developed communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work as part of a collaborative team, building positive relationships with students, staff, parents, external agencies and members of the wider community.ConditionsAn unconditional full approval to teach is a requirement.
