In this role, you will report to the General Manager Operations and work on a 4:3 roster.Your focus will be on providing flexible operational support across our health, safety, environment, and community functions to improve performance, ensure compliance, and maintain business continuity.Your primary responsibilities will include:Supporting health, safety and training activities, including inductions, audits, inspections, and emergency response coordination.Assisting with field sampling, environmental monitoring, data entry, and compliance reporting.Supporting laboratory operations through sample preparation, analysis, data entry, and general lab maintenance.Maintaining and updating key systems such as the Safety Management System, MonitorPro, and Consultation Manager.Managing site administration tasks including travel bookings, document control, and meeting coordination.Providing backup for team members during leave or absences to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.About YouOur ideal candidate will be entry-level or have less than three years of experience in mining or a related industry, preferably with some exposure to living and working in remote environments.Other key skills, experience, and qualifications:While not essential, previous exposure to administrative, environmental, HS&T (health, safety, and training), or laboratory work would be viewed favourably.Qualifications in training, document control, hygiene, mine safety, emergency response, laboratory work, or environmental science would be well-regarded but are not mandatory.Strong proficiency with computers and applications, including the ability and willingness to learn new systems.A current drivers licence.Flexibility to adjust roster and assist after hours or on weekends during urgent situations, with additional time compensated through leave in lieu or paid out.About 29Metals and Capricorn Copper29Metals is an ASX-listed mining company that produces copper and other base and precious metals critical to the global energy transition.
