Located in Malaga and opening in early 2026, the studio will offer dry-hire soundstages, workshops, and production spaces that meet global industry standards.If youd like to play a key role in WAs first world-class film studio, were looking for an experienced Facilities Manager whos excited by the opportunity to build and run smart, efficient, safe spaces that support creative excellence. This role is key to ensuring the studio operates smoothly from technical systems and maintenance through to safety and sustainability.What youll be doing:Reporting to the Head of Studio Operations, you''ll be instrumental from the commissioning and testing phase through to full-scale operation. Youll manage day-to-day functionality, safety, and readiness across the site, including:Facility Maintenance Oversee planned and reactive maintenance, manage vendor relationships, and ensure seamless day-to-day operationsProduction Support Configure and adapt spaces to meet the evolving needs of incoming productionsSmart Systems Management Monitor and optimise EMS, BMS, and related building systems to reduce downtime and maximise efficiencySustainability Leadership Champion the studios Sustainability Plan by implementing practical, energy-efficient solutionsCompliance & Safety Maintain high standards of WHS and regulatory compliance across all facilities and contractor workContract & Budget Oversight Manage vendor contracts and service delivery while tracking performance and spendEmergency Planning Develop and maintain clear emergency response proceduresTeam Leadership Lead and support a facilities team to maintain excellence in operationsContinuous Improvement Drive innovation and proactive problem-solving in all areas of facilities managementAbout YouWere open to candidates from a broad range of industries, whether youre coming from the screen sector, live events, commercial property, or another complex facility environment. Youll ideally bring:A strong understanding of building systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing) a trade or technical qualification is a bonus, but not essentialAt least 5 years experience in facilities or asset management, with proven vendor and budget oversightA proactive, problem-solving mindset and hands-on technical capabilityWHS certification or a willingness to obtain oneForklift, Telehandler, EWP/Boom lifts, IPAF (ideally holding or willingness to work towards)Experience in screen, event, or entertainment infrastructure is a definite plusAPPLY NOW- any enquiries to info@epaustralia.com.auAt Perth Film Studios, they value diverse perspectives and encourage applications from individuals of all backgrounds, including those from underrepresented communities.
