Our state of the art, purpose-built plant in Rockhampton is the only plant of its kind in Australia. We are searching for reliable, and suitably qualified manufacturing Team Leader who is seeking a full-time role in Rockhampton for a reputable herbicide manufacturing company.About the RoleThe primary responsibility of this position is machine operation, assisting with plant and general warehouse duties as directed by the Production Manager. Product assembly, receipting of goods and dispatch of product will also be a part of this role. Leading a team of manufacturing personnel, by example. There are shared WHS responsibilities with this role.About YouYou will be reliable, have a practical approach to tasks, be physically fit, and able to follow instructions. Experience in a manufacturing (operational) environment will be highly regarded, however is not essential. Reporting to the Production Manager, the successful applicant will be responsible for safe production, quality and delivery of products in full and on time and leading the production team in close conjunction with the Production Manager and Purchasing/Inventory Controller.Be team minded with a can-do attitudeHave a strong commitment to safety and continuous improvementBe physically fitHave a minimum 2 years experience in a similar roleLead by example with your strong worth ethic and attention to detailHold a current License to Perform High Risk Work (Forklift) or willing to undertake thisHold a current Queensland Drivers LicenceHave previous experience in a warehouse/factory environmentBe reliable punctual and have a good work ethicStrong attention to detail and accuracyHave the ability to understand and follow operating proceduresHave the ability and willingness to perform manual lifting using safe lifting techniqueHave experience with operating machinesBe analytical, with sound problem solving skills.Have the ability to work well with a team, be a valued team member and have sound leadership qualitiesBe able to communicate clearly, take and follow directions and be proactive in the workplaceKey responsibilities include:Lead manufacturing personnel in daily procedures and workflow in conjunction with Production ManagerDaily and weekly production reporting in conjunction with Production ManagerComplete work orders and instructions and maintenance of appropriate recordsProduce a high standard of finish across all products with outstanding attention to detailData entry input and reviewAmending and writing procedures and work InstructionsRecipe adjustments when necessaryAssist with stock count and stock takesAssist with the management of raw material stock including batch number management, product life and incoming and outgoing stockResponsibility for QC processes including record keeping and product releases.Runsheet creation and amendmentPlant start-up and shutdownActively follow WH&S requirements - be an active member in a safe environment, including shared responsibility for minuting meetings, safety assessments and improvements and updating policies and procedures when requiredBe able to identify problems and bottlenecks and work with your team to resolve issuesEnsuring cleanliness of work areaAssist with maintenance tasks as directed by the Production ManagerPacking and labelling of finished productsPicking and packing of ordersWarehouse housekeepingCandidates will be required to undertake a criminal record check, a pre-employment medical which may include a drug and alcohol screening test.Unlock job insightsSalary match Number of applicants Skills matchYour application will include the following questions:Which of the following statements best describes your right to work in Australia?
