Gunnedah District Hospital offers a range of services including community health, emergency, general medicine, obstetrics, and day surgery, and is about to undergo major redevelopment. Tamworth Rural Referral Hospital serves as the main referral pathway for services not available on-site.We are seeking General Practitioners to work as Visiting Medical Officers (VMOs), with or without specialty privileges, to care for our patients locally.What You''ll Be DoingProviding contemporary, comprehensive, and professional specialist services that are safe, effective, evidence-based, and patient-centered.Mandatory RequirementsAdmitting, consultative, diagnostic, procedural, outpatient, telehealth, and on-call services as required by HNELHDAvailability during rostered hours and on-call, including clinical handover, supervision, teaching, and emergency and routine careProviding education and participating in research as requiredQualifications include a primary medical degree registrable with AHPRA and Fellowship of RACGP/ACRRM/RACP and/or overseas trained specialist pathways.
