From structuring and tax compliance to forecasting, strategic planning and business improvement, we work closely with clients to help them grow, protect and realise the value in their businesses. Our team combines technical excellence with a genuine commitment to building long-term relationships, always bringing a proactive and solutions-focused mindset to every challenge.About the roleAs a Senior Accountant with our firm, you will have the opportunity to work with a dynamic and talented team of professionals who are passionate about providing the highest level of service to our clients. You will assist with managing a portfolio of clients, providing expert advice and guidance, and overseeing the work of junior staff members.Preparation of income tax returns and financial statements for medium and large sized client groups across a variety of industries and entity typesTax planning and structuring advicePreparation of BAS and IASPreparation of FBT returnsProviding advice and assistance in relation to a range of taxation and mattersRegular contact regulatory bodiesBuilding and maintaining strong client relationships through regular verbal and written communicationDeveloping and mentoring junior staff, including review work and providing feedbackWhat we are looking forMinimum of 5 years experience within public practiceBe CAANZ or CPA qualifiedHave a thorough knowledge of tax legislationPossess excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlinesBe capable of developing and maintaining strong relationships with both colleagues and clients with powerful verbal and written communication skillsBe interested in developing and mentoring junior staff membersExcellent written and verbal communication skillsExceptional time management skillsAbility to work autonomously and within a teamExperience with MYOB, Xero, Quickbooks etc. as well as the Microsoft Office suiteWillingness to take ownership of client responsibilitiesHigh attention to detailWhat we offerAt HMW Group, youll be part of a team thats driven by ambition, generosity, and connection.
