Within this position, youll ensure the delivery of key waste projects and initiative over the next few years related to the implementation of Food Organics and Garden Organics services, remediation of our landfill sites and the commencement of our next waste collection contract. Youll need to build relationships with key stakeholders, scope and manage various projects and manage positive working relationships to ensure deliverables are achievedTo succeed in this position, you will meet the following criteria:Tertiary qualifications in a relevant field with demonstrated significant experience in waste management and resource recovery or extensive relevant experience in a relevant fieldSound knowledge of waste management issues including compliance of licenced facilitiesAn ability to solve complex problems and apply critical thinkingExperience working in and contributing to a diverse and multidisciplinary teamAn ability to prepare written advice and reportsClass C Driver''s LicenceWhat we can offer you:Located on Sydneys southern fringe, Wollondilly Shire Council spans 2,560 km of natural bushland, scenic waterways, and vibrant, welcoming communities.Delivering exceptional, high-performing services to our community is fundamental in what we do.
