Youll play a key role in making sure our contracts run smoothly from the first draft to the final close-out all while working alongside a team that treats you like one of their own.Prefer to work from the city? You can be based at our Teneriffe office in Brisbane. Want to stay closer to site? Weve got an Orange-based option too. Or if youre keen to get amongst it, were offering FIFO from Brisbane on a 2:1 roster. However you want to work, well make it happen.Heres how youll make your mark:Manage the full contract lifecycle from award to final close-outPrepare, review and process payment claims and variations for clients, subcontractors and suppliersOversee the full payment lifecycle, including high-value and complex claims, ensuring compliance with SOPA and other legislative frameworksDevelop and maintain claim templates, FAQs, and training documentation for consistent, high-quality commercial executionLead training and onboarding for new contract team members, including delivery of handover tools and ongoing mentoringReview and verify claim accuracy, supporting documentation and contract alignmentManage end-to-end PO lifecycle, including forecasting, accruals, reconciliations and reporting dashboardsTrack commercial KPIs like DSO, aging claims, variation closure and margin impact using tools like Power BI, IFS or ExcelChair internal stakeholder meetings and drive commercial visibility and accountability across projectsLead variation and change management processes, working with Estimating and Project Controls to align on value and scopeCollaborate closely with Procurement, Finance, Legal and Project teams to minimise risk, resolve disputes and manage exposureOwn contract registers, amendment tracking, and ensure governance and compliance across all documentationDrive continuous improvement across the contract admin function from SOPs and training to tool selection and ERP configurationWhat youll bring to the table:Contract admin experience in construction, mining or oil & gasStrong understanding of construction contracts, payment schedules, change orders and variationsExperience with SOPA compliance (QLD preferred) and a solid grasp of legal obligations under Australian commercial lawConfident in end-to-end claim preparation, dispute resolution, root-cause analysis and commercial negotiationProficiency in IFS, Procore, Aconex, SharePoint or similar ERP/contract management systemsAdvanced Excel or Power BI skills pivot tables, dashboards, KPI trackingAbility to align payment claims with project progress, milestone tracking, and contract deliverablesStrong commercial judgement, stakeholder management and the ability to present complex contract positions to both internal and external senior stakeholdersDemonstrated experience mentoring and developing junior contract team members and driving a culture of continuous improvementSkilled in drafting and interpreting formal contractual correspondence, amendments and client-facing documentsFamiliar with the ins and outs of performance security, bonds, guarantees and retentionsBonus if youve led forensic claim reviews or supported dispute resolution with Legal/Insurance teamsWhy join M2P?At M2P, we work hard and back each other harder.
