Manager Infrastructure PlanningWhat we are looking forWe are seeking an experienced Manager, Infrastructure Planning to join Councils Development Engineering team. As part of this team you will lead and manage Councils forward planning of infrastructure through the development of sound asset management planning, design and development of pre-construction activities and specification of the construction standards for assets delivered by Council and Developers.This is an exciting opportunity to work with an ever-changing dynamic team within the Mid-Western Regional Council.This role is a full-time, based on site in Mudgee.Key AccountabilitiesTo lead and manage asset management, design, traffic management, road safety, and development engineering services across the Council which are consistent with the Community Strategic Plan, Workplace Environment Statement and legislative requirements.To lead and manage accurate and timely engineering advice to support the development control function, to ensure that development assessment, subdivision and linen release processes meet statutory requirements and targets set by Council.To review and update Councils Asset Management Plans.Facilitate the development of forward works Capital Programs for Councils Transport and Drainage Assets based on the Asset Management Plans.Lead, Plan and Organise design and other pre-construction activities required for the timely delivery of the forward works Capital Program for Transport and Drainage Assets.Facilitate the development of contract documentation and supervise contract works (in the role of Principals Representative) as it relates to the position.Lead the investigation and recommendation of Councils Traffic and Road Safety issues, including servicing the Local Traffic Advisory Committee.To participate in the development of appropriate strategies, policies and standards that are linked to Councils Strategic Plans.To monitor, review and make recommendations regarding the ongoing effectiveness of Councils policies and standards associated areas of responsibility.To resolve issues with a range of stakeholders providing customer focused and timely service.To actively promote and demonstrate the core values and behavioural requirements of the Workplace Environment Statement.About Mudgee:The Mudgee Region is blessed with outstanding tourist delights, investment opportunities and lifestyle attractions, all just 3.5 hours from Sydney.
