Job Description

Operations Manager Civil ConstructionThis role is responsible for overseeing financial administration, operational workflows, cost controls, and compliance across our clients projects and internal teams. You will be pivotal in improving efficiency, accuracy, and structure across the business relieving the Directors of day-to-day finance and admin functions and ensuring timely, consistent, and profitable project delivery.The ideal candidate brings a blend of financial acumen, construction exposure, and contract administration experience.Key ResponsibilitiesFinancial Operations & Cost ControlOversee accounts payable/receivable, payroll processing, superannuation, and EBA-related financial obligationMaintain cashflow forecasting, job cost tracking and cost-to-complete reportingReconcile supplier invoices to POs and site activityLiaise with offshore bookkeeper and ensure all financial data is correctly entered into XeroPrepare monthly reporting for Directors (P&L by job, cost summaries, cashflow)Contracts & Commercial SupportPrepare, issue, and manage agreements, purchase orders, and insurance complianceTrack project variations, RFIs, claims and retentionsSupport Directors with preparing and submitting reportsMaintain registers for POs, timesheets, and progress paymentsOperational Systems & ComplianceEnsure employee records, licenses, insurances and other required compliance documents are kept up to dateSupport onboarding, timesheet collection, leave management and other HR responsibilities where required.Manage key supplier accounts, vehicle rego, fuel cards, equipment servicing records and general office administrationMaintain oversight of scheduling, tracking and utilisation of equipmentExperience & Skills RequiredSeveral years experience in a civil, construction OR subcontractor environment in operations, finance or commercial rolesDemonstrated experience in subcontractor management, cost reporting and contracts adminAbility to interpret and manage compliance under EBA agreementsStrong organisation skills with a process-driven mindsetComfortable in a fast-paced, hands-on environment must be proactive and able to work autonomouslyExcellent communication skills across site and office stakeholdersFamiliarity with construction project management platformsWhite Card and Drivers License preferredInterested?Apply below OR give me a call (I''m Harry from Hyrd) on 0479 052 170 #J-18808-Ljbffr
