We provide a strong voice for animals experiencing cruelty and neglect. The RSPCA is committed to the care and welfare of animals, providing extensive professional facilities, including fully equipped veterinary hospitals and our state-wide shelter network, with hundreds of staff across NSW to care for animals.We are looking for an experienced veterinary nurse for the RSPCA NSW Veterinary Hospital to join our expanding senior team. This position is on a full-time basis with shifts rotating between 7:30 am-8:00pm. The successful candidate to work on a seven-day rotating roster, includingone in three weekends and some public holidays at the Yagoona Veterinary Hospital.Major responsibilities include:Work and train staff in all areas of Veterinary Nursing including Medical Nursing, Isolation, Consulting, ICU and Recovery.Support a high-performance orientation within the team with personal accountability for decisions and actions.Leading, developing, training employees to ensure that they provide exceptional customer service and exemplary animal care.To be successful in this role, candidates will possess the following skills and experience;A positive, enthusiastic attitude and love of all things vet nursing.Certificate IV Veterinary Nursing (must have held certificate for at least 4 years)Completing or willingness to complete a diploma in Veterinary Nursing and commitment to ongoing education.Confident in all areas of Veterinary Nursing, with an ability to train others when needed.Enjoy working in fast-paced environments.Strong communication skills, both written and verbalStrong relationship management skillsTeam playerA positive, enthusiastic attitude and love of all things vet nursing.Certificate IV Veterinary Nursing (must have held certificate for at least 4 years)Completing or willingness to complete a diploma in Veterinary Nursing and commitment to ongoing education.Confident in all areas of Veterinary Nursing, with an ability to train others when needed.Enjoy working in fast-paced environments.Strong communication skills, both written and verbalStrong relationship management skillsTeam playerOur nurses are highly valued members of the RSPCA Veterinary team.
