The NDIA is designed to enhance the quality of life and increase economic and social participation for people with disability and will mean a peace of mind for every Australian.A new role awaitsThe Cyber Security and Resilience Branch implements the requirements of government security policies and frameworks. This is achieved by providing strategic, tactical and operational Agency-wide oversight of Cyber Security and Operations.Insider Threat and Assurance is an intelligence team responsible for developing, enhancing and maintaining a proactive detection and prevention program to counter the threat posed by a trusted insider. Using intelligence methodology with available data and technology, Insider Threat and Assurance analyse behaviours of staff to determine risk and provide mitigating advice to reduce the overall harm to the Agency.The position is an important team leadership position within the NDIA and will have delegated authority and responsibility to detect and resolve issues and risks across wide-ranging activities of substantial depth involving significant detail.The EL1 Assistant Director Insider Threat and Assurance is accountable under broad direction to undertake very complex work that delivers quality outcomes across the functions of the NDIA.The position will exercise a significant degree of independence and will use a high-level of decision-making and judgement. The role will be required to coordinate and assume responsibility for highly complex or sensitive projects and work program outcomes across the insider threat, intelligence and risk management functions that have strategic or operational significance to the NDIA.Where you can add valueIn the role of NDIA EL1 Assistant Director Insider Threats and Assurance, tasks include but are not limited to:Managing all-source intelligence fusion from technical and human sources.Managing all stages of the intelligence cycle and acting as Collection Manager.Production of relevant, timely and actionable intelligence.Coordinating the intelligence collection processes of internal and external sources and agencies.Manage elements of counterintelligence and security intelligence.Managing a team conducting the collection, integration and analysis of value-added information to provide relevant, timely and actionable intelligence product for key decision makers.Assisting in the planning, execution and capability uplift for the Insider Threat team encompassing threat intelligence, risk doctrine and the triage and processing of target intelligence.High-level liaison with internal and external partners and influencing to reduce the agencies exposure to risk.Proactively support the Director Insider Threat and the Chief Security Officer in identifying trends and providing advice, guidance and options on complex security matters to ensure compliance with Australian Government security frameworks and associated legislation.Enough about us, lets talk about youThe following skills, experience and attributes will be viewed as highly favourable:Minimum of 5 years experience in intelligence or cyber security roles.Intelligence and/or security qualifications.A background or experience in the application of intelligence and detailed knowledge of the intelligence cycle and/or detailed knowledge of Cyber Operations.Initiative appropriate to level.Effective time management with a solution focussed approach.Independent thinking.Analytical approach to problem solvingAbility to present intelligence findings through written and verbal communication to a high standard.Your NDIA ExperienceWe work as one team.
