Be part of it and leave a legacy for future generations.About the RoleWe are seeking enthusiastic, team-orientated and motivated people to join Alcoas New Starter Process Operator Program on a 12-month Fixed Term contract. These positions commence in November 2025 and will be based at either the Pinjarra or Wagerup Alumina Refinery.In these roles we do not need you to have industry experience, just bring a can-do, positive attitude; because for us, the right attitude is everything!As a Refinery Process Operator in our New Starter Program, you will have the opportunity to work in a high tech and challenging environment whilst being provided with both on and off the job competency-based training, and a strong focus on safe work practices. Working outdoors in a physical and rewarding role, no two days will ever be the same and you will never stop learning.Our experienced and supportive trainers will introduce you to a job that involves:Gaining a sound knowledge of environmental and safety principlesOperating, monitoring, and maintaining a wide variety of refinery process equipmentCompleting all daily routines and reportsContributing to the daily work targets being met safely and efficientlyCollecting and processing online samplesPerforming routines which may include manually lubricating, opening, and closing valves with a sledgehammer (once qualified).Providing on the job training to other operators (when qualified)Participating in team projects, workplace quality and process improvements.Our people inspire us with their passion, their ideas, their support for each other and their community focus.
