We work to improve the lives of older people by maintaining the integrity of the aged care system.As the single independent regulator of Australian Government aged care services, we offer a variety of interesting and challenging jobs across most capital cities.It is an exciting time to join the Aged Care Quality and Safety Commission, with major reforms underway to improve aged care in Australia. You will be contributing to our role as the national regulator to safeguard and protect older Australians receiving aged care services.The Sector Education team is responsible for the development of effective educational resources for the aged care sector including providers, workers and older people receiving care. Our educational activities aim to assist the sector with building a strong understanding of regulatory operations and good practice. We currently provide education through our Aged Care Learning Information Solution (Alis), the delivery of workshops and website resources.About the RolesAs a Senior Education Officer within the Sector Education team, you will be responsible for leading the delivery of project work. Working within a team of education professionals, you will be responsible for developing, coordinating, delivering and quality control of a range of education products and programs for aged care providers, older people and their representatives. You will be responsible for developing educative resources including, but not limited to, static resources, videos and online learning. You may also be required to facilitate sector workshops either individually or with a team of facilitators.Position DutiesProduct design and development:Leads the end-to-end design, development and delivery of a wide range of effective learning solutions and programs from conception to release. This may include e-learning, face-to-face or virtual training, workshops, webinars, newsletters, experientiallearning or peer-to-peer learning opportunities. Conduct analysis and collate information to create cohesive, meaningful educational products.Content development: Translates legislative provisions and detailed guidance documents into tailored content to support registered providers, aged care workers and older people.Project Management:Provides effective project management; plan, coordinate and manage the delivery of projects including navigating ambiguity and changing priorities. Contributes to leading the delivery of the Commissions program of education activities and services both in a face to face and virtual online training environment.Quality assurance and improvement:Undertakes quality improvement activities, including review, evaluation and monitoring of education outcomes, identification of areas for improvement, and proactively identifies opportunities for feedback.Reporting:Collates, records and reports on education/learning activities and outcomes, providing both qualitative and quantitative information to track success and identify improvements.Positive working relationships:Works collaboratively with both internal and external stakeholders. This includes working harmoniously within a team to achieve positive results and support the Commissions strategic direction.Position Eligibility Requirements (Selection Criteria):To be successful in this role you will need to demonstrate the following:Demonstrated experience in leading the development of content and the design and delivery of educational resources for adult learners.Demonstrated experience in instructional design and development of online and blended learning products and resources using tools like Articulate RISE, Vyond and Canva.Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to distil complex technical guidance into content for engaging and useful learning products and activities.Demonstrated ability to work autonomously across multiple intersecting projects and produce deliverables in tight timeframes.Demonstrated ability to collaborate with and develop productive working relationships with both internal and external stakeholders and subject matter experts.Experience in the facilitation of educative workshops in a virtual or face-to-face environment.Position Notes:Salary offered will be between $96,503 - $108,869 per annum depending on skills and experience. In addition, 15.4% superannuation will be paid.Only candidates who hold Australian citizenship can apply. Appointment is conditional on successfully completing a national police check.
