This opportunity has become available due to internal progression within the organisation, highlighting Jet Aviations commitment to developing and advancing its people.In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for ensuring regulatory compliance, safety, fleet management, and operational excellence in support of the PTS (Pilot Training System) program.Your ResponsibilitiesResponsible Manager (DASR Pt145) for PTS ESL maintenance organisationLeadership of PTS Pt145 at East Sale providing clear directions and decisions for activities conducted at those facilities including alignment to customer expectations and meeting financial, regulatory and compliance targets.Primary responsibilities:o DASR Pt145 complianceo PTS ESL Fleet Managemento Risk & WHS Managemento Meeting PTS ESL tasking within bounds of the PTS contract thereby achieving Key Performance Indicators of the PTS contracto Primary focal point for PTS ESLLiaise with Pilatus engineering, CAM Services staff and operational staff at PTS ESL to maintain an effective & efficient business operation that meets the contractual obligations.Work closely with the Program Services Manager and the other PTS SMMs to maintain the overall PTS Part145 safety, quality and performance priorities.Proactively participate in and continually promote the Safety Management System.Leading, coaching and developing employees to ensure maintenance performed in the facility is conducted in compliance with relevant company policies, procedures and industry regulations.Maintain a strong and positive working relationship with all stakeholders.Promoting positive staff engagement.Operating and managing delegated budgets.What will help you to Succeed?Hold or able to attain Chartership (CPEng, CEngT, CEngA) with the Institute of Engineers Australia or equivalent.Meet DASA qualification and experience requirements for the position of Responsible Manager, with a sound understanding of DASA airworthiness regulations (or equivalent).Ability to interpret and apply military airworthiness regulations, processes and procedures.Ability to work in a high-pressure environment with minimal supervision.Previous maintenance management experience is required.Demonstrated leadership of large maintenance teams is desirable.Significant technical experience within the Australian Defence or General Aviation industry, such as extended experience as a B or C Category MAML and/or Form4 holder is an advantageExperience within an operational maintenance environment is desirableEffective communication including excellent written and verbal skills.Effective prioritisation and time management skills.Strong personal values corresponding with Jet Aviation values (Trust, Honesty, Alignment, Transparency)Pre-employment AssessmentAs part of the selection process, the progressed candidate will be required to undertake the following pre-employment assessments:A pre-employment medical, which will include a medical assessment, national criminal history check, and drug and alcohol test.How to Apply?Your application must consist of the following:Acknowledgement that you have a current legal right to work in Australia;A cover letter (1-2 pages max) outlining your previous skills and experience relative to the role;A copy of your updated resume.Why JET?Competitive Remuneration.Support for professional development with possible internal career progression oppitunitiesOnline Workout and Wellness Classes with app - Boxx.Fast and efficient learning with app - Magpie Annual Flu Vaccination program.Salary Packaging available for novated vehicle leasing.Defence site location and inclusive team atmosphereWe offer:At Jet Aviation, we understand that exceptional performance begins with exceptional people.
