Base salary will be in the range $102,565 - $111,686 + 17% Superannuation (HEW Level 7)The University of Queensland (UQ) is seeking a Governance Officer to support the Research Office (RO) in enhancing UQs research performance. This role will see you driving the evolution of efficient administrative processes, optimising service delivery, and ensuring the smooth functioning of the Research Office. You will work closely with the Senior Manager (Operations) to implement strategic plans, monitor workflows, and support a high-performing administrative team, ensuring the delivery of quality research services and documentation.This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with strong governance, analytical, and leadership skills to contribute to UQs research excellence. In this role, you will directly impact the success of national and international research funding bids, Fellowships, and operational efficiencies, while playing a key role in maintaining UQs commitment to innovation and continuous improvement in research administration.Key responsibilities will include:Support the development and implementation of efficient administrative processes to enhance the Research Offices service delivery and alignment with UQs strategic objectives.Contribute to the continuous improvement of operational efficiencies by analysing workflows, identifying areas for innovation, and driving the optimization of research support services.Lead and supervise a team of administrative officers, providing training and guidance to ensure consistent, high-quality documentation and service delivery within agreed timeframes.Maintain oversight of governance activities, including managing documentation, coordinating operational calendars, and ensuring content is standardised and consistent across platforms like SharePoint and Teams.About UQAs part of the UQ community, you will have the opportunity to work alongside the brightest minds, who have joined us from all over the world.Everyone here has a role to play.
