Job Description

Our Rescue & Fire Fighting (RFF) services currently extend from stations in WA, SA, VIC, NSW, and QLD. Due to the evolving nature of this contract, we are currently employing a Watchroom Operator in our Fire and Rescue operations at Bandianna. This role can be a career as a Watch Room operator within the Emergency Services and Defence Industry or the first step into a career as a Firefighter. Responsibilities: Maintain operational readiness in accordance with Ventia policies and guidelines. Respond to fire incidents and support communication with the Incident Controller. Assist the Fire Station OIC with administrative duties related to operations. Participate in training and development plans. Mandatory Requirements: You must hold one of the following qualifications in each of the five categories below: PUAFIR210 Prevent Injury PUAFIR215 Prevent Injury (Superseded) PUAFIR201B Prevent Injury (Superseded) PUAOPE013 Operate Communication Systems and Equipment PUAOPE013A Operate Communication Systems and Equipment (Superseded) PUATEA001 Work in a Team PUATEA001B Work in a Team (Superseded) PUACOM001 Communicate in the Workplace PUACOM001C Communicate in the Workplace (Superseded) PUATEA002 Work Autonomously PUATEA002B Work Autonomously (Superseded) Highly Desirable: Previous experience in communications room operations. Other Requirements: Strong team orientation. Eligibility for Defence Security Clearance up to Negative Vetting Level 1. Australian Citizenship is required.
