Specialiast Children''s Trauma PractitionerSpecialiast Children''s Trauma Practitioner2 days ago Be among the first 25 applicantsGet AI-powered advice on this job and more exclusive features.SCHCADS Level 6, $108,515.60 pro rata (plus super and salary packaging)Job DescriptionAbout the rolePermanent Part time (0.9 FTE)Based in HastingsSCHCADS Level 6, $108,515.60 pro rata (plus super and salary packaging)Role PurposeThe Specialist Childrens Trauma Practitioner will bring specialist childrens trauma knowledge and expertise within the Bayside Peninsula Integrated Family Services (IFS) team to support and promote children, young people and families to develop, maintain and strengthen the safety, stability and wellbeing of children, young people and their families.The Specialist Childrens Trauma Practitioner will also support families to understand trauma and achieve healing and recovery through evidence-based practice frameworks and models that address the impact of childrens trauma.Support will be strength based, child centred, family focused, goal oriented, attachment focused, trauma informed, developmentally appropriate and culturally sensitive.This role will support and mentor Family Services Practitioners to build capability across the team in relation to the signs, symptoms and behaviours of children who have experienced trauma. The role will work with the family service team to develop responses and plans that best support children and their families.The Specialist Childrens Trauma Practitioner is underpinned by the MARAM framework, Child Information Sharing scheme and the Family Violence Information Sharing scheme, the Best Interest Principles Legislation as outlined in the Childrens Youth and Families Act 2005, Roadmap for Reform and the Best Interest Case Management model.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide specialist expertise and knowledge to the family services team in relation to childrens traumaTo guide and support best practice within the family services team in relation to childrens traumaTo carry a case load of eight to ten families who need supports and planningTo undertake comprehensive MARAM assessments and share information as required to ensure women and childrens safety and planning and supportKnowledge of evidence-based trauma informed practice for children who have experience traumaAbout youA tertiary qualification in Social Work, Psychology, and a post-Graduate qualification in Childrens traumaMinimum 5 years experience in the family services sector including experience working with children and families who have experienced complex traumaEligible for membership of relevant professional association ie.
