Youre looking for a workplace that shares your values and gives you the tools and support to grow your practice.THE ROLE:As an important member of our Corporate Team, youll be the key driver in leading client matters assigned to you, responsible for ensuring tasks are provided to schedule, and the objectives and expectations of our clients and the law are met. You will work with a range of bluechip clients across various industries from family office and SMEs to listed entities.Reporting to our Associate Director, youll be responsible for helping drive the productivity of your team and supported in the growth of your practice.Youll be a central figure for our clients, building trusted relationships. You will uphold our proactive, positive approach. You will be supported in your role by a lawyer and a law graduate. You''ll also play a key part in shaping the energy and momentum of our team.What youll do:Strategically lead and manage client matters from first meeting to completion, ensuring seamless delivery and superior client outcomesSupport Associate Director in leading larger, complex matters.Lead due diligence processes and drive transaction execution with junior staff, anticipating issues and proactively resolving challenges.Craft concise, impactful communications and legal documentation, tailored to your audience and desired outcome.Set the standard for file management and deadline discipline, ensuring operational excellence across mattersEngage with external advisors, senior stakeholders, and clients, influencing decisions and building trusted relationshipsExercise sound judgment in interpreting and clarifying client objectives, often in ambiguous or high-stakes contextsApply advanced critical thinking to shape legal and commercial strategy, contributing to firm-wide thought leadershipMentor, coach, and support junior lawyers fostering a culture of continuous growth and learning.Promote and embody a high-performing, inclusive team environmentUS:Located at The Commons, 55 Collins Street, we are a team of smart, fun, and bright individuals.
