This is a fantastic opportunity to step into a leading retailer and get exposure to the wider Wesfamers business and our ways of working.This is a fixed term contract role ending May 29th 2026.What youll be doingSupport delivering monthly group reporting for Kmart Group.Ensuring all assigned journals, accruals, reconciliations and reports are prepared in accordance with the Wesfarmers group reporting requirements in a timely manner.Month-end processing including capex and project reporting, budgeting and forecasting, and off-charging as required.Participate in project work, including implementation of strategic projects.Gain exposure to the preparation of half yearly statutory reporting deliverables, including impairment testing and key audit deliverables.Preparation of survey/statistics information and insurance renewal materials.Identify risks and opportunities for the business.Update projects, systems and policies as required.To be successful in this role youll have:2-3 years experience in a mid-large scale corporate business with a good understanding of accounting principlesExperience with financial reportingProficiency in the use of Financial Systems (i.e. SAP), including completing ledger reconciliationsProfessional accounting qualification (CA or CPA) or near completionStrong computer software skills, including advanced knowledge and use of ExcelAbility to drive improvements and meet deadlinesExcellent written and verbal communication skillsAdvanced problem solving and analytical skillsBenefits well offer you:Flexible hybrid working options through our Flex Where, Flex When, Flex Well policy.A team member discount card that gives you a discount at Kmart, Target, Officeworks and BunningsAccess to the Kmart for You benefits program which entitles you to exclusive discounts and benefits in the areas of entertainment, travel, lifestyle, and health with over 60 suppliers!We offer inclusive parental leave, and ongoing support offered though our partnership with Circle In for team members of all backgrounds and family circumstancesA dynamic learning and support programOpportunity to fast track your career through our Mentor Program as a Mentee or MentorA Kudos recognition program, where you are nominated by your peers to spin a wheel, to win a stack of cool prizesGreat career opportunities across the broader Wesfarmers GroupWe celebrate the rich diversity of the communities in which we operate.
