The local township of Roxby Downs is an active and progressive community offering a variety of modern, well equipped housing, educational, health, sporting, leisure, shopping and cultural facilities.Please note this position is based at Olympic Dam, operating on a 7/7 day/night, or days-only roster pattern roster arrangement with residential, FIFO ffrom Adelaide and DIDO options available for country SA.About the RoleThe position of Specialist Maintenance Execution (Refinery) will form part of a multi-functional and diverse team supporting the Surface Maintenance department to safely and efficiently achieve departmental and BHP Olympic Dam business objectives. In this role you will:-Have a commitment to look after your own and the teams wellbeing, confidence to mentor safety related issues and speak up to coach and prevent harmBe responsible for the execution of activities across shifts and other departments in order to safely add value and improve efficienciesProvide technical expertise within the maintenance team whilst facilitating preventative and reactive maintenance activitiesFoster collaborative and productive working relationships across all internal and external stakeholdersDemonstrate an overriding commitment to working in and promoting a healthy, safe, environmentally responsible and sustainable workplaceBe active in identifying and communicating improvements to procedures, processes or plant and participate in problem solving and troubleshooting of plant issuesProvide technical knowledge and expertise relevant to the role and support the Management of Change process to all plant modifications executed by the maintenance teamScope and execute planned and unplanned mechanical maintenance activitiesComply to and consistently follow the standards and procedures designed to enable you to work safely and effectively every da Perform and develop BOS routines to implement a safe working environment, plant with your team members to continuously improve our cultureWork with other departments and customers to develop and execute the weekly and daily defined Production Schedule to ensure we optimise all daily opportunities that arisePerform large, planned shutdown outages durations, providing a high level of in field leadership, ensuring our teams and contract partners have the support to safely execute planned tasks to a highsafe standard with a high completion rateSupport the on-shift Supervisor with a willingness to step up into the Supervisor role when requiredAbout YouMinimum Australian recognised trade level qualifications within a mechanical disciplineSound computer skills and ideally have exposure to SAPExperience in technical fault finding and continuous improvement activitiesExposure to hazardous area environment would be preferredUnderstanding of Quality Assurance and current WHS legislationPrevious shift work experience would be preferredProactive people management skills and leadership abilitiesProduction line manufacturing experience is preferable including robotic systemsCan demonstrate a high level of maintenance optimisation and strategy frequency reviewsPerform well with a high performing team with limited time to make good smart decisions based on the conditions that ariseAbility to use and pull resources to make good team and business decisions where neededAPPLICATIONS CLOSE: FRIDAY 15 August 2025 - Midnight SA TimeAbout Our Process At BHP, we are committed to employing individuals who align with the BHP Charter Values and meet the requirements of the role.
