OFX has been a trusted innovator in global money movement for over 25 years.Purpose of your roleWe are seeking a team player with an ownership mindset to lead our Strategy and Corporate Development activities. The Head of Strategy and Corporate Development will be joining a small and collaborative team, reporting into the Chief Financial Officer, working closely with CEO, Executive team and Strategy and Corporate Development Associate. The role will focus on strategy development, solving the most critical strategic questions and the execution of global M&A activities.What you doThe role consists of strategy development, solving critical questions and supporting aspects of the deal process:Lead on strategy development:Lead the strategic planning process in partnership with the Executive Team and the BoardMonitor industry trends, competitor strategies and performance to inform strategic prioritiesLead on solving the most critical strategic questions towards OFX 2.0:Design, execute and lead detailed problem definition, work plans, analysis, strategic option evaluation and strategy development to support critical decision making, and case for change, where requiredPrepare presentations for the Executive Team and the Board in support of critical decision-making projectsWork cross-functionally to ensure alignment and execution of strategic initiativesLead global M&A activities:Identify, assess and prioritize potential M&A targets in line with strategic goalsLead end-to-end M&A processes, including target screening, offer preparation, due diligence, valuation, negotiation, deal structuring and closing processesPrepare presentations for the Executive Team and the Board in support of deal buy-in and approvalsBuild and maintain strong relationships with investment banks, advisors and industry contacts to source deal opportunitiesWhat you bringQualifications8+ years of work experience with a minimum of 2 years in management consulting and/or Corporate StrategyUndergraduate, graduate or MBA degreeRequired:Strategic thinking skills, defined as the ability to structure complex and ambiguous issues, to deliver well-supported data-backed recommendationsExperience with the hypothesis-based problem solving approachAbility to thrive in an ambiguous environment, own the strategic questions and engage with teams and executives, with autonomyExcellent communication, judgment, maturity to work across all levels (the team, cross-functional partners and executives)Team player, pro-active and action oriented, who enjoys ownershipDesire to continuously learn / developDesire to work globallyDesire to have exposure to M&AAt least some experience with financial servicesPreferred but not required:Experience with technologyWhat it''s like working at OFXWere OFXers because we want to make a difference.
