Located within Tech Central, SBA brings together world-class researchers, clinicians, and entrepreneurs. SBA''s mission is to fast-track scientific discovery into real-world health outcomes by fostering interdisciplinary collaboration, translational research, and commercialisation. As SBA moves from establishment to operation, it will become a globally recognised hub for biomedical innovation.The Executive DirectorSBA is seeking an Executive Director to lead its strategic direction, operations, and stakeholder engagement. Reporting to the SBA Council, the Executive Director will:Implement SBA''s strategic vision and operational modelBuild and lead a high-performing team, including the COO and innovation leadsCultivate partnerships across academia, health, government, philanthropy, and industry to drive SBA''s growth, long-term sustainability, and real-world impactOversee research translation, commercialisation, and precinct developmentAdvocate for SBA''s mission through public engagement and thought leadershipThis role is pivotal in shaping the future of biomedical innovation in Australia.Key RequirementsProven strategic leadership in complex, multi-stakeholder environmentsStrong track record in research translation, innovation, and commercialisationExperience securing funding and building sustainable partnershipsExceptional stakeholder engagement and governance capabilitiesAbility to inspire collaboration across diverse teams and disciplinesSponsorship / work rights for AustraliaWork Rights: you must have unrestricted work rights in Australia for the duration of this employment to apply. Visa sponsorship is not available for this appointment.Term and remunerationThis is a 4-year fixed-term appointment.
