Every Patient Matters.Job DescriptionThe Health Information Services (HIS) department is seeking highly motivated and excellent clerks to join our Richmond & Freemasons campus on a permanent full time or part-time or casual basis. Our operational business hours are from 08-00 am to 21-30 pm, Monday through to Friday. Please note, you will be required to work onsite in this position, there is no capability to support working from home in this role.Responsibilities/Duties-Scanning paper-based patient medical records using the BOSSnet Digital Medical Record system.Answering telephone enquiries.Responding to information requests in accordance with the departments release of information guidelines.Collecting, scanning and re-directing mail.Performing general department administration duties as requiredTo be successful in this roleYou will have-Excellent customer service skills with a focus on meeting the needs of internal and external stakeholdersExcellent time management and organisational skills in order to effectively coordinate the various processes and steps involved in the processExcellent organisational skills with a proven ability to prioritise workload effectively and meet deadlinesEffective written and verbal communication skills with a professional telephone manner, and an ability to clearly and coherently convey relevant information to all stakeholders, both internal and external to EpworthIntermediate working knowledge of the Microsoft Outlook Suite (primarily Microsoft Outlook, and Microsoft Office)A solid work ethic, and an ability to work autonomously within a team in order to ensure all work is completed in a timely mannerProven high attention to detail and diligence to ensure correct patient information is released at all timesFlexibility in a changing work environment with an openness to changing processes and proceduresDesirable (non-essential)-Previous experience in similar rolePrevious experience with a Patient Administration System (iPM, WebPAS, TrakCare) and a Scanned Medical Record (BOSSnet or CPF)Working knowledge of Medical TerminologyRequirements When Applying-Ensure to mention which position(s) you are applying for-Full Time Monday to Friday 0800-1606 (Richmond location)Part Time evening 3 x 5 hr evening shifts 15-30 / 16-30 20-30 / 21-30 (Richmond location)Casual Monday to Friday AM / PM (Richmond & Freemason location)Additional InformationPosition Description Inherent RequirementsAt Epworth, its a community.Its the sense of belonging and being part of an organisation that puts the patient in the centre of all that is done.
