Today, the Shire has a significant farming-based industry that contributes nationally.About the positionNarromine Shire Council is seeking a suitably qualified and experienced applicant for the position of Team Member Roads.The objective of this position is to effectively and safely operate Councils plant to carry out pavement construction and maintenance, ensuring safe road surfaces for the travelling public.Responsibilities include safely and competently operating Council plant and equipment according to manufacturers'' specifications and Council procedures, and promoting a positive image of Council to the community.To be successful in this position, you will need to have:Class MR Drivers LicenceGeneral Construction Induction (CIC - White Card) NSWDesirable qualifications and experience include:Experience operating a backhoe, front-end loader, and graderSound knowledge of construction techniques and principlesProficient written and verbal communication skillsAbility to work in a team environmentTraffic Control Combo Traffic Controller & Implement Traffic Control Guidance PlansChainsaw Certification Crosscut & TrimFirst Aid CertificateHR LicencePosition details:Graded 4 within Council''s salary structureSalary range: $56,712 - $63,988 per annum + superannuation, determined by competency assessment38-hour workweek with RDO system (every second Monday off)Employment conditions per the Local Government (State) AwardPromotes principles of Equal Opportunity Employment and diversity, encouraging applications from people with disabilities and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoplesHow to applyReview the position description carefully to assess your eligibility.
