This is an excellent opportunity to join a motivated and respected team within the Olympic Dam Mine, supporting critical operations with a strong focus on compliance, safety, and technical excellence.Reporting to the Surface Electrical Coordinator will be a key contributor, working with Electrical and Instrumentation Technicians who ultimately deliver E&I maintenance activities ensure compliance with weekly maintenance schedules, operating standards, procedures and defined processes to achieve optimal maintenance outcomes for the Surface operation.Roster:This role will ideally work a 5/2 4/3 roster. A hybrid role: The incumbent with both work from our state-of-the-art Adelaide CBD Offices in the GPO Exchange Building, as well as from our Olympic Dam site office, with a regular weekly presence on-site. The structure of this arrangement has flexibility and will collaborate around right applicant.In this role you will:-Verify detailed and visual inspections of electrical equipment in hazardous areas in accordance with AS/NZS 60079 standards and other relevant regulationsEnsure competency of workers completing EEHA inspectionsLiaise with and assist Risk and Control owners to manage Hazardous Area RisksReview completed inspection forms, verify accuracy and ensure reports have been saved to CMMS (SAP)Manage HA dossier and Ex register to comply with statutory requirementsSingle point accountability to ensure Ex register is up to date at all timesPerform Entity calculations for replacement and new equipment installations to ensure compatibility with existing electrical infrastructureSupport hazardous area classification (HAC) reviews and assist in updating drawings and documentationCollaborate within a highly experienced execution team in a high-performing and safety-focused environmentLiaise with Surface Reliability Team''s to ensure EEHA Maintenance strategies are effective and up to dateAbout YouSouth Australian A-Class Electrical licence or degree in Electrical EngineeringCertificate IV in Electrical Equipment for Hazardous Areas (EEHA).EEHA Design and Classification is desirable but not essential.Strong knowledge of electrical compliance in hazardous areas.Proven ability to work both independently and collaboratively.Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills and a demonstrated history of influencing outcomes across multiple departments.Some experience working with CMMS (SAP).Exceptional attention to detail and an ability to process work in a methodical, concise format.Highly developed organisational and scheduling skillsPositive attitude, strong work ethic, flexibility and willingness to see work through to completionSecure your future with Copper SA and flourish in an exciting time in copper growth and expansion across our state.APPLICATIONS CLOSE: Friday 29th August 2025 at Midnight SA TIME.BENEFITSBHP Employees benefit from a highly attractive array of perks, not limited to annual bonus, monetary reward and recognition, shares program, extensive global discount book, flexible work, attractive parental policies, EAP services for the whole family and so much more....
