You should have strong supervisory skills in maintenance and construction practices within a parks and gardens (or similar) area. Demonstrated experience in delivering capital works and contractor management is a must.The salary range being offered for this full-time position is $3,602-$4,054 gross per fortnight plus superannuation and allowances which equates to an annual salary of $93,667-$105,419 gross plus superannuation and allowances (dependent on skills, qualifications and experience).Key AccountabilitiesPrepareand implement scheduled and preventative maintenance works programs for parksand gardens assets in accordance with best practise, statutory requirements andservice levelsCoordinateresources to ensure that routine maintenance programs and responses to worksrequests are carried out efficientlyManagethe employment lifecycle and management practises for crew members within Parksand Gardens, coordinating team members to achieve agreed work plans, providingsupport to Supervisors and Team Leaders to address and respond to arising staffmattersUndertakecontractor management functions, including procurement, engagement andsupervisionCoordinatedelivery of nominated capital works projects in accordance with designspecifications and cost estimatesEnsurecustomer requests and enquiries are assessed, relevant stakeholder liaison isundertaken and works completed within timeframesAssistthe Manager Recreation Services in monitoring expenditure against budgetallocation, providing input in budget preparation and project estimatesEffectivelymanage the maintenance, repair and replacement of horticulture equipment andfacility assets ensuring that they are properly maintained, operated, andstored appropriately to maximise efficiency and safety. Adhere to all servicingrequirements prescribed by Councils fleet department.Coordinatethe condition assessment program of Councils public tree assets, applying riskmitigation obligations to achieve Councils policies and proceduresCoordinatethe operations and maintenance of Councils cemetery facilities and services/memorialsProvideadvice to Council, Council staff and the public on horticultural/landscapingmattersOverseethe development, implementation and ongoing review of proactive inspection andmaintenance systems and forward works planning for Councils parks and gardenassetsAssistthe Manager Recreation Services with the development, implementation andongoing review of quality, risk, asset, safety and environmental managementsystems relevant to parks and gardensIdentifypotential risks and challenges associated with bookings and events, providingdetailed information to the Manager Recreation Services as requiredCommitto ongoing professional development for individual, team, and organisationalbenefitPerformadditional duties within skill level as directed by the Manager RecreationServices.Promoteand uphold Councils core values and behavioural expectations as outlined inthe Workplace Environment Statement.About Mudgee:The Mudgee Region is blessed with outstanding tourist delights, investment opportunities and lifestyle attractions, all just 3.5 hours from Sydney.
