The Health and Security Assistant provides non-clinical care to a variety of areas, including but not limited to:To assist nursing staff in patient careTo transport patients for admissions and dischargeTo attend all emergency codesTo attend to mortuary dutiesTo assist security staff in code black situationsTo be on call for cleaning of discharge beds as required on night dutyTo attend to ICU on night work, weekends and public holidays or when there are no ICU Technicians availableCasual role and Temporary Full-Time role works - rotating roster works 8-hour shifts over a 24/7 period. The shift times are:Day shift 0600 - 1400Afternoon shift 1400 - 2200Night shift 2200 - 0600Key ResponsibilitiesWork with the existing team as the permanent full time holiday relieverTransportation of patients throughout the Wards/Departments.Respond and fulfil your role in all emergency codesDischarge of patient to appropriate pickup areas (as per hospital policy).Assist ICU/Theatre staff with patient care, weekends/public holidays and out of normal hours for Technical Assistants.Demonstrated flexibility that meets changing needs of unit or work environment.Maintains harmonious relations with hospital staff by behaving in a professional manner and displaying a non-confrontational manner.Learn more about our community and services here!What You BringCurrent NSW Security Licence.Senior First Aid Certificate.Previous experience working in the support services area in a health care environment.A desire to join a team committed to the care of others in a mission-based organisation.For further information please contact Darrin Jenkins, Support Services Manager on 40143215 or [email protected] JOIN US?CMN is an Affiliated Health Organisation providing services to both public and private patients primarily from the Hunter New England area.
