Your primary responsibilities will include facilitating the transition of all animals into and out of our BARC facility, managing associated paperwork, and providing excellent customer service.An ideal candidate will assist in maintaining a high standard of animal housing presentation and animal welfare within BARC. Shifts will be scheduled primarily on weekends, with some availability required throughout the week.Essential:Qualifications and experienceRelevant qualifications in an appropriate fieldDemonstrated customer service experience or administration experience with both telephone and face to face enquiries in a fast paced and high-volume areaDemonstrated high level of experience in handling and working with companion animalsDemonstrated ability to work within a team environmentExperience in PC applicationsCurrent class C drivers licence.Essential:Sound knowledge of all relevant Acts, Regulations, Guidelines of the Companion Animals Act 1998Authority to implant microchipsAbility to drive a manual vehicle.Remuneration And BenefitsThe salary and conditions of employment are in accordance with Blacktown City Councils Enterprise Agreement.Entry level for this position starts at $34.6237 per hour, plus 25% casual loadingPenalty rates for weekend shiftsCasual loadingEmployee benefits such as leave entitlements (where applicable), 12% employer contribution payable to your nominated superannuation fund, Fitness Passport, gym membership discounts, and social clubs.Our commitment to safetyBlacktown City Council is committed to safety.
