We have a permanent, full-time position available for a self-motivated and experienced team member at our Blacktown Animal Rehoming Centre (BARC) in Glendenning. Your primary responsibilities will include facilitating the transition of all animals into and out of our BARC facility, managing associated paperwork, and providing excellent customer service. An ideal candidate will assist in maintaining a high standard of animal housing presentation and animal welfare within BARC. Essential Qualifications and Experience Relevant qualifications in an appropriate field Demonstrated customer service or administration experience with both telephone and face-to-face enquiries in a fast-paced, high-volume environment Experience handling and working with companion animals Ability to work within a team environment Proficiency in PC applications Current class C drivers licence Knowledge of relevant Acts, Regulations, Guidelines of the Companion Animals Act 1998 Authority to implant microchips Ability to drive a manual vehicle Remuneration and Benefits Entry level salary starts at $1,315.70 per week 38-hour work week Rostered Day Off (RDO) every fortnight Employee benefits including leave entitlements, 12% superannuation contribution, Fitness Passport, gym discounts, and social clubs Additional Information Blacktown City Council is committed to safety and supports a child-safe environment.
