You will undertake, and oversee, a range of Environmental Health duties and activities in an expanding and developing part of Sydney.Population Health in SWSLHD aims to protect and promote the health of the local population, reduce inequalities in health, and achieve optimal health and wellbeing for all people living in South Western Sydney. The values on which population health services are based are: Equity, Professionalism, Partnerships, Evidence, Environmental Sustainability, and Quality ImprovementWhat You''ll Be DoingFacilitate, implement and monitor environmental health tasks undertaken by the team related to the Public Health Act 2010, Public Health Regulation 2022 and other legislation, and contribute to emergency management in the Local Health District.Activities relate to legionella control, public swimming pools, skin penetration, the funeral industry, on-site wastewater management, general hygiene and emergency management. There may be some actions related to tobacco and e-cigarette control, and smoke-free environments.Co-ordinate, facilitate, implement and monitor environmental health tasks related to the Public Health Act 2010, the Public Health Regulation 2022, Public Health (Tobacco) Act 2008 and the Smoke-free Environment Act 2000, and other legislation and emergency management in the Local Health District.
