GPHs mission is to provide equitable heath care with an emphasis on helping vulnerable and at risk of disadvantage populations as well as regional communities.GPH employs over 400 staff including many qualified health and other professionals including peer workers and community workers. GPH operations cover a large regional geographical footprint in NSW and ACT.About The PositionMedicare Mental Health Centre Moruya is a collaboration between Grand Pacific Health, Directions Health, Katungul Aboriginal Corporation and the Family Place. We provide evidence-based assessment, care coordination, information, support and treatment to people experiencing psychological distress, their family, carers, and support networks. Medicare Mental Health Centre Moruya offers immediate, short to medium-term episodes of care and service navigation. The multi-disciplinary team facilitates a holistic and collaborative approach to care which addresses a broad range of social, physical and emotional needs.The Community Engagement Officer takes a lead role in promoting and enhancing understanding of the services offered at Medicare Mental Health Centre, Moruya as well as mental health through the coordination of community awareness activities. Together with the Service Manager, the Community Engagement Officer will represent the Centre at community forums and events as well as develop local partnerships that ensure the Centre is an integral part of the mental health and wellbeing sector. The position will also lead the Centre''s approach to consumer participation.This position is full time, fixed term until 30 June 2026.
