Senior Product Owner Spatial Cadastre Asset Transformation - Grade 9/10 Work Type: Temp for up to 3 years, full-time Location: Bathurst Closing date: 15th August 2025 (9:59am) About the organisation Spatial Services, a division of the Department of Customer Service, is the key provider of spatial land information services in New South Wales. Spatial Services'' integrated framework connects the people of NSW to a comprehensive package of land and property services including property information, surveying, and mapping. Spatial Services provides land information services to individuals, businesses, government agencies, and non-profit organizations throughout NSW, Australia, and internationally. About the role The Product Owner is responsible for defining the vision of the product and managing the product backlog. They will collaborate closely with stakeholders, including customers and development teams, to prioritize features, ensure the product aligns with business goals, and guide the team on what to build next. The Product Owner ensures that the team delivers value through iterative and incremental releases, providing direction and decision-making authority throughout the product development lifecycle. To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate: A strong understanding of Cadastral Data Management, including Survey Plan information and Survey Plan types in NSW. A good understanding of legislative obligations for maintaining the State Cadastre and business requirements necessary to meet Service Level Agreements and customer needs. An ability to work in a cross-functional team to collectively drive positive business outcomes. Demonstrated experience and knowledge using ArcGIS Pro, Parcel Fabric, and ArcGIS Enterprise. Experience or knowledge of FME and Python. Accountabilities Representing internal team and external customer needs in project activities. Owning the relationship with customers for product development, updates, and fixes. Owning and prioritizing the development backlog. Supporting the team to transform, define, and develop cadastral workflows utilizing new software platforms. Contributing to the development of a product vision and roadmap, identifying software enhancements required to improve efficiency and productivity moving forward. Working closely with software vendors, Cadastral Spatial Programs, Business Technology Services, and Executive Leaders to identify skill and knowledge gaps for teams.
