Salary ranges from $129,464 to $142,665 plus superannuation and annual leave loadingBe part of a truly transformative agency, diversifying service provision to the Valuer General and growing the public sectors capability and capacityThe roleIf successful and dependent on your placement, you will either:Make land valuations using NSWs mass valuation system for rating and taxing purposes under the Valuation of Land Act, 1916 (Act).Determine objection valuations for all types of land valuations in line with the Act.Make compulsory acquisition valuations to determine the compensation to be awarded under the Land Acquisition (Just Terms Compensation) Act 1991.Perform a variety of asset and other bespoke valuations for Government in the Commercial & Special Valuations team.These are unique roles with NSWs land values totalling almost $3 trillion - underpinning circa $15 billion in revenue for Government and Local Councils. VNSW also determines over $1 billion in compensation valuations each year and $5 billion in government asset valuations.For more information read the full Role Description: Managing ValuerAbout youAs one of our Managing Valuers, you will provide professional, expert and authoritative property and valuation information and technical expertise that is consistent with legislation, policy and community standards and expectations.To be a good fit for our team you will be an exceptional communicator and a natural at building and maintaining stakeholder relationships. In addition to delivering quality valuations, you will have a hands-on leadership style that will see you providing guidance, advice and training to a team of experts to support their growth and development.To be successful in this role, you will possess:Associate membership with the Australian Property Institute with Certified Practicing Valuer designation or equivalent (or be eligible to obtain withing 12 months of employment)Current driver licence and willingness to travelThis is an exciting opportunity for a valuer to join a dedicated and highly regarded agency.
