We currently have apermanent full-time position within the specimen reception and data entry department with the main role to accept pathology samples for processing, data entry of patient details into the laboratory information system, as well as other specimen receptionresponsibilities to ensure a timely, streamlined process focused on best patient outcomes. The medical laboratory assistantsparticipate in a rotating roster which include weekends. An eligibility list will also be compiled for any upcoming positions.If this sound like you, then become part of a team that want what is best for their customers.The Maitland Laboratory form part of the public pathology network and consist of approximately 22 staff of varying grades.The 2022 relocation of the New Maitland Hospital in Metford allowed for a modern, purpose build laboratory with spacefor future growth and beautiful views. Being part of a growing community, but still near Newcastle, will see the area growand expand and provide exiting opportunities within the laboratory space. With the expansion of the hospital and theincrease in beds and outpatient services, the demand on fast, accurate and high standard of service delivery is paramountin building the already well-developed relationship the laboratory staff has with stakeholders.
