The roster can be comprised of either:A 4-day working week (05:4515:45)A 5-day working week (05:4513:51)Candidates must hold a current Pool Lifeguard certificate and First Aid.Join a close-knit team supporting the health, safety, and fitness of Australias defence personnel.BGIS is seeking a Full-Time Lifeguard / Gym Attendant to join our team at Singleton Army Barracks. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a structured, active environment while making a positive impact every day.What Youll Be DoingIn this hands-on role, youll oversee the daily operation of the on-site gym and pool, ensuring safety, cleanliness, and excellent service for defence personnel.Key duties include:Opening and closing the gymMonitoring pool and gym safety, responding to incidents with First Aid and CPRChecking IDs and managing member sign-insSupporting Physical Training Instructors with setup and pack-downMaintaining cleanliness, equipment, and loan itemsManaging bookings and customer enquiriesReporting maintenance issues and participating in stocktakesWhat Youll BringCurrent First Aid and Royal Life Saving Society Pool Lifeguard certificate (required)Strong swimming ability (must demonstrate ability to touch 6m pool floor within 6 months)Great communication and customer service skillsAbility to work independently and follow safety proceduresProfessional and reliable work ethicWillingness to undergo Baseline Security ClearanceAvailability for weekday shifts with potential for weekend overtimeAbout BGISBGIS is a global leader in facilities management, with 10,000+ employees managing 50,000+ facilities across Defence, Government, Healthcare, Education, and Utilities.
