We support specialist mens family violence specialist services and operate the national Mens Referral Service (MRS), a 24/7 telephone and online counselling and referral service. We undertake research, training and advocacy and work with governments, employers and business to stop family violence at the source.About the roleThe General Manager Advocacy and Sector Impact reports directly to the CEO and is an integral member of our tightknit Executive Team and broader senior leadership team. You will collaborate to develop and execute sector and workforce development strategies, driving advocacy and engagement approaches and the campaign for a national strategy for men who use family violence.You will continue to raise the organisations profile and provide strategic, expert and authoritative leadership in the formation, implementation, and review of DFV evidence-based policy positions, sector and workforce development initiatives that drive family violence sector and broader social change.Outcomes of this positionProvision of executive leadership, direction, support and advice to NTV Heads of Advocacy, Policy & Research, and Sector & Workforce Development teams.Leadership in development and delivery of impactful advocacy campaigns with key stakeholders including; our members, individual advocates, communities, policymakers, universities and research institutions, government and other partnersLeadership of NTVs sector and workforce development strategiesGrowing NTVs thought leadership through conferences, sector development, events, research and member engagement activitiesExpanding NTVs training, corporate and philanthropic funding baseLeadership and support for a growing social movement to address mens use of family violence through engagement strategies with key stakeholders - advocates, communities, policymakers, local, state and federal government representatives, employers and other partnershipsPlanning, delivery and review of NTVs media and research and advocacy strategiesTimely responses and analysis of evolving DFV issues, new research, media debate, government policy and regulatory issuesOversight of development and dissemination of policy briefs, position statements, submissions, discussion papers, and opinion editorials on relevant issuesSuccess factorsDemonstrated political nous and stakeholder engagement skillsDemonstrated experience in delivering social impact through collaborative advocacy, government relations, campaigns, and community and stakeholder engagementExperience working for a peak body organisation is highly valuedExtensive experience in driving revenue growth through business development, training provision, corporate partnerships and philanthropic engagementSuccess in working with complex issues in multi-faceted stakeholder landscapesStrong team player and demonstrated people leaderA strategic thinker with strong written and verbal communications skillsFurther details relating to the key responsibilities of this role can be found in the position description on our websiteWhat We OfferWe provide a positive work culture and a diverse and inclusive environment.
