About the OpportunityWe are currently seeking a customer focused and experiencedLibrary Customer Service Officer to join our team on a part-time basis, working 32 hours per week across Monday to Saturday.In this role, you will provide high-quality customer service and support the communitys use of library resources, technology, digital platforms, and participation in literacy and learning programs.Key responsibilities include:Delivering excellent customer service at library branches, outreach locations, and community events, ensuring all visitors enjoy a welcoming and engaging library experience.Assisting customers in making full use of library resources, equipment, technology, and online services through proactive engagement and support.Maintaining the librarys customer service areas, including shelving returned items, tidying shelves, updating noticeboards, and refreshing promotional displays and exhibitions.Undertaking a range of duties including rostered desk shifts, evenings, and Saturdays across any Cessnock City Library branch.To succeed in this role, youll need a Certificate III in Library and Information Services, Customer Engagement, Business Administration, or a related field, along with public library experience. You should be committed to delivering high quality customer service, ensuring users feel supported and engaged.
