Nowra, New South WalesFull-timeDescriptionPermanent Full TimeSalary: $82,592 - $104,698 gross p.a. plus 12% Super35 hours per week (Monday to Friday) with the option of flexitimeLocated at the Nowra Administration BuildingApplications close Thursday 28 August (at midnight)About The RoleThis position works within the Technical Services Department of Council to provide professional architectural and landscape architectural design services for a range of council''s building and community infrastructure projects.This is a grade range position, therefore in accordance with qualifications, accreditation, experience and demonstrated skills, the prospective employee will be assessed as either Grade 9 or 10. Progression from Grade 9 to Grade 10 is subject to competencies being met and increased responsibilities and complexity of tasks being undertaken or managed.Grade 9 - $82,529 - $96,073 p.a. plus 12% SuperGrade 10 - $91,148 - $104,698 p.a plus 12% SuperThe Roles Associated With These Grades IncludeGrade 9 - Design Officer:Provide drafting and design services for landscape, architectural and community infrastructure projectsPrepare specifications and schedules as requiredSupport the Coordinator - Building & Landscape Design to deliver outputs to agreed deadlinesGrade 10 - Building Designer (in addition to the above):Provide professional architectural and landscape architectural design services for landscape, architectural and community infrastructure projectsPrepare designs, drawings, documentation, reports, schedules and specifications, while considering aesthetic, environmental, legislative and financial factorsProvide subject matter expert advice in relation to building and landscape design projectsPlease refer to the Job Description under the Job Attachments for a comprehensive list of duties, responsibilities and skills required.About YouGrade 9 - Design OfficerDiploma in Architecture, or Diploma of Building Design, or equivalent3 years'' experience with demonstrated AutoCAD or ArchiCAD experienceGrade 10 - Building DesignerTertiary qualifications - Bachelor of Architecture (or equivalent related)3 years'' experience with demonstrated AutoCAD or ArchiCAD experienceBoth Positions RequireClass C Driver''s Licence.Proof of Right to work in AustraliaOur Desired Candidate Will PossessDemonstrated experience in the development of concept design solutions for architectural and/or community infrastructure projects.Demonstrated ability to apply policies, codes, current best practice and appropriate use of building materials and construction methodologies in designThe ability to interpret legislation, policy, procedures and guidelines as they pertain to design development and documentationAbility to work as part of a small professional team within a multi-disciplinary divisionHow To ApplyTo submit an application, click Apply and complete each Step of the application.
