As a not-for-profit aged care provider, were able to invest in providing an exceptional experience to our clients as well as support and develop our frontline staff to achieve this.The Role: We are looking for an experienced Registered Nurse with leadership skills to join Southern Cross Care NSW/ACT as Deputy Residential Manager based in our Young facility.The successful candidate will be dedicated to providing direct care, support and guidance to residents in accordance with best practice. You will lead the care for the residents in a manner consistent with quality and respect whilst providing mentoring to the care team.Your Key Responsibilities Will BeProvide a caring environment that enhances the security, welfare and wellbeing of residents through planning and directing the provision of a range of high quality personal and clinical care.This position is required to contribute positively to team work to achieve operational outcomes and promote a positive SCC workplace culture in alignment with SCC Values, Mission and Vision.This position is required to liaise and collaborate with all relevant stakeholders, both internal and external to ensure effective and efficient workflow.This position is required to comply with and contribute to Work Health and Safety policies and procedures.RequirementsDegree in Nursing/Tertiary qualifications in Aged CareExperience in a relieving leadership/supervisory roleGood interpersonal and written English communication skillsAbility to play an active and positive role as part of our Care Team, providing quality care and support to frail aged peopleSound understanding of relevant State and Commonwealth legislation as it applies to Aged Care FacilitiesSound understanding of, and ability to correctly apply, relevant principles of the Fair Work ActSouthern Cross Benefits!Salary Packaging ($15,900), plus meal and entertainment benefit package to the value of $2,650Heart HQ - our Southern Cross Care (NSW & ACT) People Platform, packed with exclusive retail discounts, and features designed to help you celebrate, connect and succeedFitness Passport - Discounted workplace health and fitness program available to you and your family.
