In this role, youll engage with clients and stakeholders across all levels of the Group, contributing to the success of Transaction Banking Solutions through strategic sales execution and effective client management. Reporting to the Executive Director, Business Development, youll be part of a high-performing team of Transaction Banking specialists located across Australia.As a Director, youll work closely with senior stakeholders and clients to drive growth and deliver exceptional outcomes, including but not limited to:Originate and retain strategic transaction banking mandatesBuild deep relationships with treasury and finance teamsLead cross-functional teams in responding to tenders and proposalsPartner with Relationship Coverage teams to develop and execute client plansIdentify innovation opportunities in payments and cash managementCollaborate across product, operations, and delivery teams for seamless executionStructure and negotiate complex deals for institutional and government clientsApply technical acumen (ERP, APIs, SaaS) to support solution designLead thought leadership initiatives to position the bank as a trusted advisorStay ahead of market trends and regulatory developmentsChampion continuous improvement and foster a high-performing, inclusive team cultureWere Interested In Hearing From People WhoAre committed candidates with a strong foundation in a corporate or institutional banking. You bring:Extensive experience in transaction banking at a leading domestic or global bankProven success in business development and solution consulting for institutional clientsA self-driven, results-oriented mindset with a track record of exceeding targetsStrong internal network-building and stakeholder management skillsExcellent interpersonal, collaboration, and negotiation capabilitiesAnalytical strength in financial modelling, data analysis, and process designDeep understanding of transaction banking products (payments, cash management, merchant acquiring and corporate cards)A risk-aware mindset aligned with CommBanks standardsTertiary qualifications in finance, accounting, business, or related fields (or equivalent experience)Prior experience in business development or account management in transaction banking is highly desirableThis opportunity offers exposure to a broad range of stakeholders across all levels of the business.
