Your day-to-day activities will involve overseeing both Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable cyclesensuring every transaction is processed accurately while upholding compliance with Australian tax laws. You will work collaboratively across departments such as procurement, operations, business development, and commercial teams to optimise payment cycles and billing structures. Your expertise will be crucial during month-end closings as you prepare journal entries, perform reconciliations, analyse variances, and contribute to management reporting. This role offers you the chance to make meaningful contributions not only within finance but also towards broader sustainability goals by supporting renewable energy initiatives across Australia.Oversee end-to-end Accounts Payable processes by ensuring accurate invoice processing, timely approvals, payments, and effective three-way matching between purchase orders, goods receipts, and invoices.Monitor vendor accounts and manage aging reports to guarantee prompt payments while resolving any disputes or discrepancies that may arise.Ensure full compliance with GST regulations, withholding tax requirements, and internal financial controls through diligent oversight of all AP activities.Collaborate closely with procurement and operations teams to enhance payment cycle efficiency and support seamless business operations.Manage billing and collection processes for Accounts Receivable by ensuring timely invoicing, performing customer account reconciliations, and maintaining accurate AR balances.Drive collection efforts by monitoring AR aging reports, engaging stakeholders to minimise overdue balances, and conducting credit risk assessments for new and existing customers.Optimise billing structures and payment terms through close cooperation with business development and commercial teams to support organisational objectives.Maintain accuracy and integrity of financial transactions in line with IFRS and local GAAP by managing month-end and year-end close processes including journal entries, reconciliations, and accruals.Support preparation of financial statements, variance analysis, management reporting, as well as external and internal audits by providing timely responses to auditor queries.What you bring:To excel as a Financial Accountant in this organisations Manly office, you will bring extensive experience at navigating complex approval processes and adapting quickly to evolving priorities.
