Maurice Blackburn, experience you can count on.Job DescriptionWe are looking for a highly motivated Senior Legal Assistant to join our Work Injuries Team in our Perth CBD office on a full-time, permanent basis. This role would suit an EA or Legal Assistant who is looking to build their skills with higher duties. In this role, you will champion our values, provide unparalleled client service, and provide leadership and mentoring to our legal support staff.Your responsibilities will include providing legal assistance, administrative support, team collaboration, and professional development.Key Responsibilities:Champion the Maurice Blackburn values and advocate for clients to make a positive difference in their livesProvide legal support to an established legal teamProvide leadership and mentoring to existing legal support staffWork collaboratively to provide exceptional client service and drive high performanceWork proactively to provide support where needed within the team to maintain efficiency and high performanceProvide high level, confidential administrative assistance to a Principal Lawyer of a national law firmBuild and manage relationships with key stakeholders within the firm as well as external stakeholdersProvide excellent client service at all timesQualificationsExperience preferred as a senior Legal Assistant within Personal Injuries (or similar)A working knowledge of court and legal proceduresUnwavering attention to detail, coupled with a methodical approach to tasksDemonstrate a growth mindset to support business development and financial initiativesA proactive attitude, and the ability to demonstrate leadership and collaboration within the teamThe ability to think strategically in order to forward plan and monitor future prioritiesProven success in developing strategies and plans to manage email accounts and calendarsA high competency in Microsoft Office and in particular a willingness to develop advanced skills in MS Excel and MS teamsWell-developed communication skills (written, oral and interpersonal) and the ability to liaise effectively with internal and external stakeholdersExcellent organisational skills with the ability to multi-task and work independently to plan, coordinate and organise projectsOutstanding customer service attributes that include a professional image, customer service focus, active listening skills and sound negotiation skillsThe ability to handle and uphold confidential matters with maturity and common senseA record of or enthusiasm for working independently to deliver on shared goalsAdditional InformationHere are our exceptional Team MB Benefits:Ongoing coaching and career development opportunitiesEnd of Year leave, 1 day first year, 4 days after 2 yearsComprehensive mental health framework, including wellbeing leave (up to 4 extra days per year)and $299 reimbursement22 Weeks Parental leave with your superannuation guaranteed and back-to-work transition policyRewards and recognition platform with fitness, retail, and entertainment discountsA hybrid flex working modelSalary Continuance & Life Insurance17.5% Annual Leave Loading just to name a few. *T''s & C''s applyOur shared values represent what we stand for and guide how we act, with Courage; Compassion; Collaboration; Fairness and Tenacity.We love that you have a life outside of work and were happy to support yours.
