They have extensive experience across key sectors including healthcare, defence, education, commercial offices, pharmaceuticals, refrigeration, retail, central plant refurbishments and Greenstar/NABERS rated buildings.The OpportunityDriven by strong internal growth and a robust pipeline of upcoming projects, we are seeking a General Manager Construction to support the Managing Director and lead their construction operations. This is a senior leadership role responsible for leading a team of experienced professionals, overseeing end to end project delivery, ensuring alignment across departments, and driving successful outcomes on time, within budget and to scope.The ideal candidate will be an experienced leader with strong commercial acumen, excellent communication skills, and a deep understanding of construction processes, regulations, and project management best practices.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide operational support to the MD in day to day business operationLead, mentor, and manage the construction teamEnsure effective allocation and utilisation of resources across projectsChampion continuous improvement through process development and innovationOversee project planning and ensure accountability for executionSupport project managers in driving timelines, procurement, and deliveryIdentify and mitigate project risks, ensuring adherence to best practicesAct as the escalation point for high level client issues, supporting the commercial and project teamsBusiness Development & Strategic PlanningFoster collaboration between construction and other internal departmentsDrive alignment with company goals and ensure operational excellenceAbout YouDemonstrated experience leading high-performing, multidisciplinary construction teamsProven ability to manage projects ($5M+) from concept to completionStrong leadership style that is hands on, humble, and supportiveExperience in conflict resolution with internal teams and clientsSolid understanding of project financials and previous exposure to P&L managementExcellent stakeholder engagement and communication skillsQualifications in Business, Management, or a related fieldMechanical services experience is advantageous but not essentialWhats on OfferA competitive salary package commensurate with experience and market standards.Interested?Apply now with an up to date resume.
