Senior Maintenance Leader (Mgr Facilities Maintenance 3) - 23675OverviewMission Technologies, a division of HII, is seeking a Senior Maintenance Leader to oversee the maintenance, operations, planning, and system support of Submarine Nuclear (SSN) platforms. This position is located in Stirling, Western Australia or Canberra, ACT. The role ensures operational readiness, efficiency, and regulatory compliance. The ideal candidate has extensive leadership experience in submarine maintenance and a strong understanding of naval systems.Key ResponsibilitiesLead and mentor maintenance teams to ensure optimal performance.Develop long-term maintenance strategies for SSN operations.Ensure compliance with all regulatory and safety protocols.Oversee preventative and corrective maintenance activities.Manage maintenance schedules and operational readiness.Coordinate system diagnostics, troubleshooting, and upgrades.Develop and implement effective maintenance plans.Collaborate with engineering and logistics teams.Optimize maintenance procedures for efficiency and cost-effectiveness.Ensure adherence to defense regulations and operational requirements.Identify potential risks and implement mitigation strategies.What You Need To Have (Qualifications)8 years relevant progressive experience with a Bachelor''s degree in a related field; 6 years relevant progressive experience with a Master''s in a related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent with 12 years relevant progressive experience.8+ years of experience in submarine maintenance and operations.Proven track record of leading maintenance teams in high-stakes environments.Strong background in maintenance planning, logistics, and systems engineering.Comprehensive knowledge of SSN maintenance, operations, and systems.Familiarity with defense-related maintenance planning tools and procedures.Experience with regulatory compliance and safety standards.Bonus Points ForMasters degree in Engineering, Systems Management, or equivalent.Leadership and team management abilities.Strategic thinking with problem-solving skills.Strong communication and collaboration with cross-functional teams.Knowledge of emerging technologies in naval maintenance.Travel, Employment Type, and CompensationRequired Travel: 11 - 25%Employment Type: Full Time/Salaried/ExemptAnticipated Salary Range: $115,931.00 - $160,000.00Security Clearance: Ability to ObtainAbout Mission TechnologiesOur team of more than 7,000 professionals worldwide delivers all-domain expertise and advanced technologies in service of mission partners across the globe.
