Join us in shaping the future of healthcare in Regional Queensland.Your OpportunityTo provide efficient and effective routine Speech Pathology clinical services to the Hervey Bay Hospital under the direction of the Director of Speech Pathology.The position will function and participate in multidisciplinary and collaborative teams within the Hervey Bay Hospital, Wide Bay Hospital and Health Service.What were looking forClinical Expertise Demonstrated base level knowledge, expertise and skills in managing adult and paediatric speech pathology clients, across the continuum of care.Communication The ability to work effectively as a member of a health care team, demonstrating high level communication skills, flexibility and a co-operative approach.Operational Management Demonstrated ability to self manage a caseload, including ability to prioritise referrals and achieve non clinical workload requirements, such as report writing and recording statistics, in a timely manner.Leadership Demonstrated ability, or ability to rapidly acquire the skills and knowledge required to provide guidance to Speech Pathology support staff and clinical education to students.Quality Improvement Demonstrated commitment to evidence based practice and participation in quality improvement activitiesPreferred QualificationsMandatory possession of a qualification as a Speech Pathologist from a registered tertiary institution (or equivalent) as and a current membership or eligibility for membership with Speech Pathology Australia.Appointment to this position requires proof of qualification and if applicable registration or membership with the appropriate registration authority or association.
